Sapori  Italiani  is a food processing company as well as a meat  and deli shop in the heart of Woodbridge, Ontario, that provides traditional Italian gourmet products to the epicurean connoisseur.

Founder and proprietor Luigi Manica and his wife Maria, along with their children, emigrated from the city of Crotone (Calabria), Italy in November 1994.  From a young age, Luigi was exposed to the process of homemade cured meats as it was a family tradition; and as he grew, so did his passion for creating good-quality cured products.

After his arrival to Canada, Luigi quickly recognized the need for authentic Italian specialties and in June 1998 he opened the doors to his new venture, Sapori Italiani.

Thanks to his knowledge and remarkable work ethic, Luigi continued his profession by introducing Ontario to traditional family recipes, and later creating new products with modern twists. Not only he introduced the traditional home-style cacciatore and soppressata Calabrese, but also a vast variety of dry cured and fresh products including over 24 different references of fresh sausages from pork to veal, to lamb, beef and poultry.

Luigi’s buon gusto, and passion for the culinary arts have set him apart from all others in his field. By producing high quality foods using only wholesome, natural ingredients, he has secured a loyal clientele, and kept a little piece of Italy and its rich heritage in his heart.
